Loretta Weinberg’s accelerating movement to reform the Bergen County Democratic Organization from the grassroots up suffered a severe tire blowout tonight:

Robert Gulack of Fairlawn, Weinberg’s candidate for County Chair, lost his seat on the Bergen County Democratic Committee by 2 to 1.

Debbie Fransica, Weinberg’s Chief of Staff, overwhelmingly lost her seat on the Woodcliff Lake County Committee.

Weinberg lost nearly half the County Committee seats in her hometown of Teaneck, where she once had total control.

Weinberg lost nearly half the seats in Englewood, where she once had near total control.  Here running mates Gordon Johnson and Valerie Huttle both live there.

Weinberg’s Council and Democratic County Committee candidates in Edgewater were all crushed at the polls.

Team Weinberg also suffered other defeats throughout the county.  Inside Bergen will bring you the numbers as they come in.

Weinberg went all out on this fight, paying out of state workers $100 a day to canvass for her County Committee slate.

Ferriero backers are asking if this is the winning message Weinberg is going to carry to the County Committee as they reorganize on June 10th. Losing primaries vs. Ferriero’s decade of victories against Republicans?

Weinberg’s team was unavailable for comment.

It looks like it is back to the drawing board to Team Weinberg.
